Wilson Health

Branding Campaign

Wilson Memorial Hospital has served Shelby County, OH and surrounding community for decades. Their deep roots in the community position them as a trusted resource, empowering people to take ownership of their own health and wellbeing.

The opportunity

As a community hospital, Wilson Memorial was often perceived as offering limited services with a lower level of clinical talent that is typically associated with larger hospitals and healthcare systems. Wilson Memorial partnered with Fahlgren Mortine to help better understand awareness and perception of the hospital, and redefine the traditional approach to healthcare.

The solution

Fahlgren Mortine conducted a focused exploration of Wilson Memorial's patient markets. Our multi-phase research approach included focus groups as well as online and telephone surveys.

From our findings, we determined that in order to represent change to the community, Wilson Memorial Hospital needed to update their current identity, including brand messaging, creative platform, logo and name. This new identity would position Wilson as not just a place to go when the community was sick but as a place that's helping the community stay healthy by emphasizing the importance of education and preventative care.

The results

Wilson Memorial Hospital became Wilson Health, complete with a new and relevant identity that reflects the brand platform of healthcare redefined.

Fahlgren Mortine developed a 90-second video to share the new brand message with internal stakeholders and associates. The video features several Wilson Health associates telling the new brand story, what it means for the internal stakeholders and the impact it will have on the Sidney and surrounding communities.

With the internal communications phase complete, we are currently working on an integrated marketing campaign that will bring the new message out to the public.
