TourismOhio Partnership with McDonald's & Coca-Cola
Discover Ohio To Go
We worked with TourismOhio to identify the most beneficial corporate partner to bring a statewide tourism campaign to life, then brought together the key public and private stakeholders to approve all the details, and finally, led the creative development and complex approval process for a mutually beneficial relationship.
The Discover Ohio To Go program, launched on April 29, 2013, encouraged consumers to visit nearly 400 Ohio McDonald's restaurants to purchase a large Coca-Cola beverage and receive a specially marked cup redeemable for discounts at Ohio tourism attractions. The program drove consumers to a responsive, mobile-friendly website to learn more about the offers and start booking their trips.
The program generated more than $840,000 in earned media value and reached more than 123 million consumers. More than 43,000 unique visits have been made to DiscoverOhioToGo.com. In addition, TourismOhio garnered more than 900 email leads via a Facebook referral contest in support of the promotion.
