Colfax Fluid Handling

Product Launch

Colfax Fluid Handling, a business of Colfax Corporation, designs, engineers, manufactures and supports fluid-handling pumps, systems and solutions for a variety of markets.

The opportunity

The development of CM-1000, a smart technology solution designed to reduce energy and maintenance costs in engine rooms of large Commercial Marine vessels, provided Colfax Fluid Handling a real opportunity to tout the company's innovation leadership. But to preempt competitors, the product launch in Western Europe and Asia-Pacific needed to be quick and aggressive.

The solution

We developed a creative concept that brought the CM-1000's differentiating benefits to life using visuals of Commercial Marine vessels in graphs that measured results. The team then applied the concept to a series of tools, including a dedicated landing page, capabilities brochure, sales presentation, trade ads, eblasts, thought leadership papers, case studies and trade show graphics to launch the CM-1000 officially at Nor-Shipping, one of the industry's premier trade shows.

Additionally at Nor-Shipping, our public relations team secured several in-booth interviews with key trade publications. And in working with the CM-1000 product development team, we built the CM-1000 Simulator Calculator, an interactive tool designed to simulate real-world energy savings and carbon footprint reductions over one- five- and ten-year periods based on the user's vessel and route selections.

The results

We regularly measured results against Colfax Fluid Handling's three main campaign goals: lead generation, broad based awareness and sales tool creation. The success in achieving these goals was evident in the Commercial Marine team's sales performance securing over $8 million in CM-1000 sales over an 8 month period.
